My training and experience

I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, which you can read more about on this website. I have worked with people on issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety, broken relationships, family issues and illness, fears and confusion about their sexual orientation and identity, depression, anger, self-harming behaviours and issues with food and eating. Prior to my training, I worked with young adults with drug and alcohol addictions and volunteered at Samaritans in London.

My approach

I focus on creating a trusting and empathic relationship with each client, as we work through their immediate and longer term issues and concerns.

The transformative power of psychosynthesis comes not only from gaining acceptance of how things are, but also from a belief in each of our own potential for healing and personal growth, regardless of the pain we are in. If you lose sight of your own potential, you may feel lost with your pain and it is very easy to give up hope. With the right counsellor you can retrieve this vision and take the necessary steps toward resolution of conflicts and find peace in your life.

Often the healing process can feel very painful as issues are often not resolved immediately. However, in creating a wider view of yourself and your world, you can find greater self-acceptance and more choice in life. I have direct experience of how psychological and embodied pain, if encountered and felt, can bring the insight necessary to heal it. I do not offer quick fixes, but I can offer support in a shorter or longer term working arrangement, depending on individual needs.
